![]() As such, both StreamFab and AnyStream are faster (as fast as downloading a file, unlike Playon which is watching/recording in real time). ![]() They have not provided an ETA.īoth StreamFab and AnyStream are "downloaders" in that they circumvent the DRM and download the content rather than doing like PlayOn does in circumventing DRM by doing a screen recording. They do say they are "working on" adding a queue for TV programs but not movies. You must find what you want and click Download, one movie/show/episode at a time. As of now, AnyStream doesn't have a queue feature. ![]() The queue is PER SERVICE, so to download from multiple services, you must go into each one at a time. You can download the movies/shows in the queue as a batch when you are ready, and walk away. For TV series it also analyzes the series and presents you a full list of episodes, you check the box next to the ones you want, then add to queue. StreamFab allows you to QUEUE what you want to download. If you are like me, and you have TV shows in Hulu, Disney+, HBOMax, or the networks via Xfinity, that you follow, then PlayOn is much simpler. You must go into each source/channel/module, find each show and download the episodes you want, after you know they are available. StreamFab and AnyStream do not have the "subscription" feature. StreamFab and AnyStream do not support Xfinity, Vudu and a few others that PlayOn does. In my opinion the usage and use cases for StreamFab and AnyStream are different from Playon, here are some of the differences: ![]() That was the main reason I used it and kept using it. PlayOn allowed me to "subscribe" to shows on supported sources and have them automatically record new episodes when available. And I tried Anystream a few months ago when StreamFab was taking a little long to fix their Amazon downloading issue (note: they finally fixed it before my AnyStream trial ended, so I didn't purchase AnyStream). I have been using StreamFab since it was initially released as DVDFab DRM Downloader. ![]()
